“Good Spots”
This is a series of canvas paintings where Langlands isolates what she perceives as ‘good spots’ and paints around them.
Contemplation of perception / humor as both a shield and revelation / tension between concealing and revealing / the “good” spots become the “bad” spots and the “bad” spots become the “good” spots and some spots I thought were “good” are “bad” and some spots I thought were “bad” are “good” / a long standing struggle, a reoccurring dream, communication with the past / a painterly mission / understanding it differently.
