Line Paintings

These Earth-inspired paintings are adjectival descriptions of movement, giving form to otherwise unnamable feelings and sensations while considering the weight, vitality, and force exerted by an environment, especially its capacity to organize the space around it. They explore color, repetition, and the meeting of abstraction and landscape and are sometimes accompanied by painted sticks that rest on top of the frames or piles of (beautiful) rocks and (precious) dirt, challenging understandings of boundaries and embodying an intersection of material and conceptual landscapes.
