Space Changers
This is a body of work that includes paintings, sculptures, murals, drawings, collage, and assemblages that explore the intersections of color, shape, space and material. The works often invoke human figures and landscapes and consider emotional atmospheres. They individually meditate on topics like abstraction, monumentality, humor and place and these pieces represent the longest running investigation within Langlands’ artistic practice—with works spanning from 2006 to the present.
