Space Changers
This is a body of work that includes selected paintings, sculptures, murals, drawings, collage, and assemblages that explore color, shape, space and material. The works invoke human figures and landscapes and consider emotional atmospheres. They individually meditate on topics like abstraction, monumentality, personal experience, transformation, humor and place and these pieces represent the longest running investigation within Langlands’ artistic practice—with works depicted spanning from 2006 to the present.
