Visual Rhythms

This body of work is made from recycled vinyl records that are painted, heated, cut, sanded, washed, and then molded into unique shapes. It began as a series of bracelets made as a gift for Langlands’ grandmother, Shirley—pieces that would suit Shirley’s bright, bold style—and evolved into standalone abstract studies. Each work charts the development of Langlands’ visual arts research, exploring creative intuition alongside the intersections of material objects and color theory.
